Juventus Apres Lechec Todibo Motta Vise Un Autre Francais Pour Sa Defense

Juventus: Thiago Motta targets another French defender after Todibo snub

The Italian giants are reportedly interested in signing Malang Sarr from Chelsea

Juventus are reportedly targeting Chelsea defender Malang Sarr as they look to bolster their squad ahead of the new season.

The Serie A club have already signed Angel Di Maria and Paul Pogba this summer, but they are keen to add another defender to their ranks after missing out on Jean-Clair Todibo to West Ham.

Sarr, 23, joined Chelsea from Nice in 2020, but he has struggled to establish himself in the first team, making just 21 appearances in all competitions last season.

However, he is still highly rated by many and was part of the France squad that won the UEFA Nations League in 2021.

Juventus believe that Sarr has the potential to be a top defender and are prepared to offer him a way out of Chelsea.

The Italian club are said to be confident of agreeing a deal with Chelsea, who are reportedly willing to sell Sarr for around €20 million.

If Sarr does join Juventus, he will be the third French defender in the squad, alongside Matthijs de Ligt and Merih Demiral.

  • Juventus have been linked with a move for Sarr for some time
  • The French defender is seen as a potential replacement for Matthijs de Ligt
  • Sarr is a left-footed centre-back who is comfortable playing in a back three or a back four
  • He is a good passer of the ball and is strong in the air
